The Kaiserstuhl-Tuniberg region is situated on the river Rhine and next to the French border. In France there are many interesting destinations for different excursions: historical towns like Colmar and Strasbourg, winegrowing villages along the Alsatian Weinstraße (wine route) as well as numerous museums and recreational facilities. The German-French tourist route Grüne Strasse (green route) – Route Verte goes through the town of Breisach and connects different regions (Black Forest, Upper Rhine, Alsace and Vosges).

The Black Forest metropolis of Freiburg is only approx. 20 km away and can be reached via the suburban train (Breisgau-S-Bahn). From Freiburg, as point of departure, you can reach many famous places (Titisee, Hinterzarten, Feldberg and Schluchsee) in about 1 hour by car or train (Höllentahlbahn).

Should you intend to visit several recreational facilities in the Black Forest or along the Upper Rhine, the purchase of the SchwarzwaldCard is recommended. For further information or the purchase of the card, kindly contact the Tourist Information Office (Kaiserstuhl-Tuniberg Info) in Breisach having its seat on the market square; phone: +49/7667/940155, breisach-touristik@breisach.de.
